might not seem like a choice at all
but here I am, on Facebook, praying

Here I am nodding my head no, unsure
What am I saying no about? This praying?
or just about things feeling challenging

What do you want to be king of was asked
at a recent meal, and maybe that's the thing
I'm sighing over now, my answer, myself

I'm praying to be king of my own field, my self
I'm praying to navigate whatever field I'm in
praying to realize the key is not the field, but me.
